Members, family and friends from all over Australia participated in “Sean’s Two for Ten” a 2km walk for $10. Proceeds from this event aid researchers such as Dr Graham Jenkin and his team develop cures for various cancers and immunological diseases. Approximately $30000 was raised. Many thanks to Sean and his family and ambassadors Maggie Scott and Deborah Knight who supported our national project Cord Blood Research and this event.

The Inner Wheel Club of Mobilong in District A70 (South Australia) has been featured twice recently in the local newspaper, after a rose planting ceremony outside Murray Bridge Local Government Centre, and after donating money to assist cancer sufferers in regional South Australia. Four Cord Blood Research Grants Awarded at Inner Wheel Australia Conference
Four Cord Blood Research Grants were awarded at the 2016 Conference Gala Dinner in October, bringing the total number of grants awarded by Inner Wheel Australia to 42, with a value of $2,408,462.

Cord Blood Success Story
The Hill Family attended the 2016 Inner Wheel Australia Conference, held in October in Sydney. Gloria Hill spoke about her son Sean, who was born with a rare genetic disease that severely compromised his immune system and caused him to be ill for much of his young life. Thanks to a life-saving transplant of 30ml of cord blood four years ago, Sean is now a healthy and thriving little boy.
