About Balmain Club
Our Club meets within 10 kilometres of the Sydney CBD, easily reached by public transport or car. The area boasts many cafes and restaurants and is situated close to the Parramatta River and Sydney’s Ferry Service.
The group fosters friendship and promotes service to the community, bringing together members to contribute positively through their fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives.
Through these various activities and projects, we aim to make a positive impact while building lasting friendships and networks among women from diverse backgrounds.
Our Club Events & Projects
The Balmain Club proudly sponsors a student at the School of St Jude in Tanzania, supporting access to education and opportunity.
Throughout the year, we hold various fundraisers—baking days (often with a delightful Italian twist), jam making, stalls, and raffles—to raise funds for both local and national causes.
We organise an annual sponsored walk with the local community to raise money for Cord Blood Research.
One of our key community initiatives is hosting a free public skin check through the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation’s mobile clinic—one of the many organisations supported by our fundraising.
Our social functions are open to members, family, friends, and the wider community, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere all year round.
Meeting Details
Our Club meets once a month, followed by dinner for those who wish to stay and socialise.
