IWA Conference Lismore 2017 – Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was held in the Lismore Workers Club Auditorium. The Whyrallah Road Public School Primary Choir sang the National Anthems of Australia, New Zealand and India. Guest speakers were Clyde Campbell, founder of the Shake it Up Foundation, which funds research into Parkinson’s Disease, and Associate Professor Michael Doran who is group leader in the Stem Cell Therapies Laboratory at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
Member at Large Telka Williams was awarded a Margarette Golding Award in recognition of many years of dedicated service to the community of Alice Springs.
